This item is designed for the GUITAR student/teacher with the fingering of particular chords in the windows. The TONIC window is the key you are going to play in and 1st and 2nd changes and off chords are shown in their respective windows. The back of the wheel shows the combination of notes that make up the chord . 

This item shows you  the chords that go together to play in a Key, assuming you have learned the notes and fingering of the particular instrument of choice. If you get confused about which notes make up the chord simply turn the wheel over to see the notes under the chords. Always have the KEY you are playing in   visible in the TONIC window.
